A Mother’s Gift
Our humble story began with a devoted mother and her infant daughter. The mother had long loved beautiful hair bows, both for herself and her child, but had difficulty finding styles in the quality fabrics she wanted. She was determined to give her daughter bows that were appealing but also soft and durable; instead, she took matters into her own hands, literally.
She soon started making custom hair bows by hand with the materials and designs she and her daughter had always wanted – and it was a huge success amongst her friends and family. One day, in 2019, the idea occurred to share the same passion for fine hair bows with other families across Malaysia. And it was then the idea for Hay Baby Bow was born.
Skillfully Handmade in Malaysia
With a natural eye for detail, the mother honed her skills as a craftswoman, carefully creating every hair bow by hand. Her vision to make the best possible hair accessories for her daughter motivated her to enrol in a professional tailoring course. There, she worked tirelessly to research, develop and test countless variations of hair bows in an array of sizes and lengths just to discover the perfect style for everyone.
The product of her efforts is the growing collection of hair bows currently found on our website today. Entirely handmade in Malaysia, each hair bow by Hay Baby Bow features fine imported materials, such as cotton linen, and sturdy hardware, the perfect balance of quality and longevity for women and children of all ages.
